Pretty Traditional Kitchen
Sunlit eating area in kitchen
This fall I had the opportunity to help some dear friends freshen up their kitchen. The cabinets were still in fine shape, but the finish was showing wear. We decided to just do a little facelift without tearing everything completely out. We replaced the worn laminate countertops with beautiful quartz, added crown molding to the cabinets, replaced the hardware, added undercabinet lighting, a new coat of paint, and framed some of their favorite pieces of the children's artwork. We also added a few cabinets under their bar height counter for more storage of pet related items. One of the most dramatic changes that we made was removing the oak valance over the sink and replacing the fluorescent light fixture with a pretty traditional fixture.
And what lovely results we got! The whole family is delighted with their "new" kitchen.
