Timeless Traditional Master Bath

I began this post several months ago and now have all the final photos to show you.  We wanted to remodel a master bath that was sadly out of date and lacking storage, and redo it with a traditional timeless style that would last the homeowners for many years.  We choose quartz countertops and white painted wood cabinets, supplied by Donna Snover of Design Phase.  Donna does a wonderful job space planning, and carefully listened to my homeowner's requests.

Before
I tend to wait until my projects are completely finished to show them to you, but a friend recently suggested that I show some of the projects that I am working on while they are actually happening.  So here you go.

These are the before photos of an absolutely gorgeous bathroom I am working on right now.  It is nearly finished and I will post the after photos very soon.  I wanted you to see all the mauve laminate glory with which we began.  I am not sure that this photo even conveys how unattractive this laminate masterbath vanity really was!  The couple using this bathroom just had no storage to put anything away.  It was dark and confined, and just plain worn out.

Before
There was old carpet, and a leak under the sink that just wouldn't quit.

Before
There was a wall between the vanity and the tub/shower and toilet area that we knew just had to go.  So we hired the Dream Team and the fun began.

Goodness, how I love bathroom tear out day.  They had everything removed, including the wall, in just a few hours.  And here is a quick preview of how the project is coming along this week.

First, we chose these beautiful white cabinets for the room.  Simple, classic, and timeless.

These three base cabinets opposite the vanity are going to be large clothes hampers.  Cool.

Next we chose a gorgeous neutral tile for the shower and floors with a little green crackled glass insert for the shower.  Just a little bling!

Look at the vanity (on left) and the fabulous shower now!  So nicely executed by the Dream Team.

Ahhhhhh....

And just a few days later, I took all these final photos.  What a lovely room and a very happy homeowner.

These base cabinets actually contain 3 laundry hampers.  What a great idea!

And in the adjoining master bedroom, we had the opportunity to build a lovely window seat with bookcases on each side.  We added this amazing chandelier from Ballard Designs and luxurious yellow  silk London shades.  I always like to interline silk as the interlining makes it hang like a vintage ballgown.  The whole suite is timeless and classic, and will be enjoyed for many years to come.
