We wanted to add a shower to this powder room, but could not gain any space from adjoining rooms. So we measured, and planned, and drew up ideas until we all voted yes on this one. We were going for masculine and traditional with timeless elegance......a bath that would be just as classic in 15 years as it is today. We chose polished travertine marble in 3 x 6 inch pieces with tiny mosaic inserts. A sagey, browny green is on the walls. We mounted bronze sconces right on the mirrors. Gorgeous. And timeless.

Gorgeous travertine bath
I wish I had some before pictures of this bath (and may, frankly, buried somewhere) so that you could see the pink sink and toilet. Picture those in a sea of blue tiles from the 1950's. Time to remodel. (Editing note: Some photos DID turn up. Check the bottom of this post. Prepare to be shocked.)

Oops! Forgot to cheese for the camera!
Granite countertop and dark cherry cabinet.
Granite bay window sill.
Look at the marble shelf inserts that we had made and the corner seat. Wow!
Gorgeous mosaic floor.
Look at the shine on this polished travertine.
