Elegant, modern kitchen
I got the opportunity to work on this beautiful kitchen over the last few months and am so pleased with all the choices we made. We kept the tile floor and lower cabinets, but changed the upper cabinets, added new glass-doored cabinets on each side of the microwave, new hardware, and fantastic new granite countertops. The homeowners chose new stainless appliances to bring a more up-to-date feel to this fairly standard builder's kitchen. We added a beautiful tumbled travertine backsplash as well. Floor length drapes in neutrals give an elegant, timeless look to the room. Lovely art and vases from Pier 1 make the the fireplace come alive. New lighting in better scale gives the room an even more modern feel. Family portraits complete the wall near the table and bring a personal touch that only photos can bring. This plain vanilla kitchen is transformed into a stylish, beautiful space that more accurately reflects the owner's tastes. Lovely! Sigh...
Lighted niches show off these tall vases to perfection.
Pretty pillows and throws warm up the cozy sofas.
A travertine backsplash and handmade pottery give texture to the gorgeous granite countertops.
A rich taupe wall paint plays up the moldings and adds warmth to the room.
