I chose a medium dark clover green for the walls to add some richness and character and added stainless appliances. I installed a really cool lighted glass shelf from IKEA over the stove (Found on clearance for $20!) and a pot rack over that. Added some art from Bed Bath and Beyond, a really great table from Crate and Barrel, and a few great accessories. Charming!

Cottage kitchen on a budget
Think that YOU could never afford an interior designer? Not all projects and budgets are large. Take a look at this teeny kitchen. Really small! But so cozy and charming. I chose White Dove from Benjamin Moore for the cabinet color and replaced the awful hardware, but kept all the original upper cabinets. The lower cabinets were new and never actually got painted. Yet.

Undercabinet lighting is always a nice touch.
Lighted shelf.
Oh, yes. The scalloped trim had to go!
