Relaxed London shades

Never underestimate the power of beautiful window treatments!

This lovely kitchen was transformed today by simply adding lovely relaxed roman shades in a linen-like golden brown.   The homeowners had done a very nice job updating their kitchen and their existing cabinets by adding granite countertops, a tile backsplash, and new appliances.  They had painted the walls (very painstakingly) a warm shade of tan, but had gotten stuck on all the finishing touches.  Great art and accessories can really make a space feel like home.  And this morning, this beautiful kitchen turned from a nice space to a warm inviting home.

The homeowners were delighted with the transformation and so was I.

We added a smaller version over the sink.

A beautiful canvas transfer and wrought iron candle sconces warm up this large wall.

Also lovely with the pleated cellular shades behind the London shade pushed all the way up.

Cellular shades are pulled down a little here.  And they are cordless.  Fabulous!

A pretty wood clock and pottery utensil holder finish off this side of the kitchen.

I found this fantastic casserole dish at Boone's Creek Pottery.
